An attractive short circular walk along the Ballinderry River linked with several road sections.
The Ballinderry River is a game fishing river, home to kingfishers and many aquatic plants like crow foot, also an area of special scientific interest.

| Route Description | Starting at Killucan Picnic site car park, cross the footbridge over the Ballinderry River and turn left following the riverside path (marked) in a clockwise direction along the river and roadside verge (1km). Turn right along Mill Road to the car park, cross road bridge, turn right and walk along the riverside path, past an old stone barn into Dunnamore village (2km). Turn right, walk up through the village, past the school, housing, chapel, turn right downhill - returning to Killucan car park. Visitors are encouraged to visit Beaghmore Stone Circles which date back to the Bronze age and are thought to be first sites of human settlement. |
