Teenage memories this week of the wooden Cranny Falls youth hostel (now vanished), as this provided a beautiful starter for a day walking up Glencloy in snow, sun and at times the utter silence of nature. Thanks Cowper Lynas... and the barbed wire fence gadget!
Pleasant and varied walk. Good rooftop view of Carnlough at the start and the waterfall was better than I expected. Make sure to detour towards the quarry for the viewpoint; I enjoyed sitting down taking in Carnlough Bay
Came across Cranny
falls when going back from Giant's Causeway, and was really supriesd...very pleasant walk, beaitufull terrain (we even spotted some wildlife) , but waterfall itself was the best, really well worth a while
Walked this with my parents and brother. Great fun day with the sun shining. The scenery was beautiful and the waterfall was well worth the walk. This was my first go at hill walking, and will not be the last. My whole family are now hooked! This is a great site - thanks for the suggestion of this walk.
I went on this walk with my two young daughters, my mum and aunt. It was beautiful. I love the Antrim Coast it is so stunningly beautiful and unspoilt. Cranny Falls was an easy walk to do with the children and the views were gorgeous - well worth the effort.
