Come and join us for our challenge walk in the Mournes on 30 June 2012. This area of outstanding natural beauty offers some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland. You will enjoy amazing views of the coast and countryside and finish with memories which last well beyond the tired muscles!
As this is a 22 mile challenge walk we recommend that you undertake some training beforehand. Get your boots on and experience the great outdoors right on your doorstep, while supporting Diabetes UK Northern Ireland's local projects and research.
What to bring:
All participants must wear/bring the following items with them:
Walking boots with good ankle supports
Rucksack
Waterproof trousers and jacket
Hat and gloves
Warm jumper
Flexible walking trousers
Sun cream and cap
Water to drink
Lunch and snacks (we will be walking for 10 - 12hrs)
This list must be adhered to in order to ensure safety of the participants.
