Drumbane Trail, Glenullin (Zomba Fundraising BBQ) ā Tuesday 31st July 2012
Annual event where walkers have the opportunity to join other local walking groups to enjoy a 3 mile section of the Drumbane Trail, south west of Garvagh. Walkers assemble at the John Mitchel's GAC grounds on Curraghmore Road, Glenullin, and are then transported by minibus to the walk start point approx 1.5 miles away.
Finish off the evening with a lavish BBQ and musical entertainment.
All proceeds towards the Zomba Action Project (aid to Malawi). The BBQ will be provided after the walk in the John Mitchel's GAC grounds (kindly provided) on Curraghmore Road, Glenullin.
Distance: Approx. 3 miles
Surface: Laneways, minor roads and open hillside
Grade: 1/2
Gradient: Undulating, some climbs, stiles, rough sections underfoot
Footwear: Walking boots/shoes
Assembly Point: John Mitchel's GAC grounds, Curraghmore Road, Glenullin at 6:45pm (Minibus transport available to and from walk starting point)
Walking boots/shoes or 'wellies', and warm waterproof clothing.
PLUS - a donation for the Zomba Action Project (ZAP), in lieu of a charge for the BBQ.
No need for advance booking - just turn up on the night.
