Mountain Skills training courses provides a general introduction to hillwalking and the basics in mountain navigation throughout Ireland. Mountain Skills teaches the necessary skills in mountain safety, navigation techniques, knowledge of hazards and personal equipment.
Mountain Skills Assessment provides the opportunity for clients to test their skills in mountaineering and navigation skills. The assessment is run over 2 days and consists of a written paper and a practical assessment, including night navigation. Instructor ratio is 1:4.
