Enjoy over 128 acres of meadows, woodland and gardens on a range of scenic walking trails through Sir Thomas & Lady Dixon park.
Located just a stones throw from Belfast City Centre discover one of Belfast’s most picturesque parks; rich in horticultural and historical interest. With a cafe and fantastic playpark, this really should be on everyones summer checklist.
3 new trails have now been fully signed to highlight the best parts of the park:
The Garden Trail (1.1 miles)
This short easy trail leads through the Japanese Garden, past the house and on towards the Golden Crown Fountain commissioned for the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
The Meadow Trail (1.78 miles)
This trail follows the parks perimeter and is perfect for those looking to enjoy the flora and fauna on offer in the magnificent meadows filled with orchids, peedweeks, clovers and hayrattle.
The Woodland Trail (1.93 miles)
This trail follows the meadow trails before turning right into more dense woodland. This trail takes in spectacular views over the entire park.
To celebrate Belfast City Council are putting on a family fun event on Thursday 20th April 2017 between 10am & 1pm. There will be lots of activities for the kids and guided walks around the new walk routes.
