Avish to Eagles Hill and Gortmore to Hell's Hole both near Ballarena in Co. Londonderry have just been added to WalkNI.com's already extensive list of quality walks.

Beginning at Gortmore Viewpoint both walks take place along the cliff top overlooking Benone Beach, Lough Foyle and the Inishowen Peninsula in Co. Donegal providing stunning panoramas of the surrounding coastline and countryside.  While at the viewpoint be sure to look out for the impressive statue of Manannán mac Lir, the Celtic God of the sea whom the Isle of Man is named after and one of the five newly installed life-size sculptures, highlighting the myths and legends of the Roe Valley’s rich cultural heritage.

Beginning at Gortmore View point the 3.1 mile circular Avish to Eagles Hill walk takes a North Easterly route along Eagle Hill to look over Umbra Nature Reserve, the beautiful beach and stunning waterfalls below.  Returning via Bishop’s Road to the Gortmore Viewpoint.

The slightly shorter 2.2 mile circular Gortmore to Hell's Hole walk also begins at Gortmore View point however the route goes in a south westerly direction along the cliff line overlooking one of the largest sand dune systems in the UK & Ireland that forms part of Magilligan Special Area of Conservation towards Hell’s Hole, a distinctive gulley before returning via Bishop’s road to the viewpoint.

If you can’t decide which walk to do then why not combine both to make a 5 mile long route?!
