2 WINNERS for National Trails Day Photo Competition!

After receiving over 80 fabulous photographs from events across Northern Ireland this National Trails Day 2 images have been chosen as 'Best Pictures from 2010'.

Darryl Bowden and his family have won a morning of adenaline activities with East Coast Adventure for their picture of cycling along the Craigavon Lakes mountain biking trail! Their prize will include a power boat ride, jet skis, rock climbing, abseling and a BBQ with the team at East Coast Adventure.

Andrew Branagh is the other winner for his picture of the Northern Irish Young Walkers having lunch in the spectacular Mourne mountains on thier National Trails Day walk along the Slieve Meelbeg circuit. Andrew and 3 friends will be heading down to the mournes again but this time they will be in the capable hands of Just Add Adventure where they will be canoeing/kayaking in the morning and bouldering in the afternoon.

National Trails Day 2010 was a great success with 58 free activity events across Northern Ireland drawing an estimated 2000 people to trails in their local areas.

Many thanks to eveyone who was involved in organising and to those who took part. Plans are already underway to make National Trails Day 2011 even bigger and better so watch this space.
