Following yesterday’s official launch of the revised Ulster Way; WalkNI.com is delighted to announce the good news regarding the route just keeps on coming.

The coordinators of the revised route the Northern Ireland Environment Agency has received firm agreement from Road Service Northern Ireland that all the remaining original Ulster Way signposts will be removed in the near future.  Now that the new blue and yellow signs are in place, the older green and yellow signs are now redundant.

“We are delighted that Road Service NI has agreed to take down the remaining original signs, their commitment to improving the quality of the revised Ulster Way has been fantastic” stated Chris Scott, Marketing Officer WalkNI.com

These signs have become very familiar to walkers throughout Northern Ireland and therefore items of great nostalgic value to many.  WalkNI.com has received numerous requests for the old signs.

“ Many people who have previously walked the route have been requesting signs as a memory of their experience, we have been promised a stock of old signs and will be announcing shortly how people can get their hands on one” highlighted Chris
