How to Walk the Route (Following a Clockwise Direction)

For those walkers determined to complete of full circuit of Northern Ireland then accurate maps of this Link section are available to download.

When walking on road sections please observe the Highway Code and it is advised to wear high visibility clothing.

From Castlerock to Coleriane follow Ballywooleen Road, Cranagh Road, Wheatsheaf Road, Cart Hall Road, Kings Road, Castlerock Road, crossing the bridge at Coleraine.

Then via – Circular Road, Millburn Road and Portstewart Road, to Portstewart, then follow Larkhill Road, Burnside Road, Strand Road to start of Causeway Coast Way.

Linking to the Next Section

To travel onwards from Castlerock to Porstewart take Northern Ireland Rail (NIR) Service 3 from Castlerock Rail Station to Coleraine Rail Station. Coleraine Rail Station and Buscentre are the same building. From here take Ulsterbus Service 140 to Portstewart.
