How to Walk the Route (Following a Clockwise Direction)
For those walkers determined to complete of full circuit of Northern Ireland then accurate maps of this Link section are available to download.
When walking on road sections please observe the Highway Code and it is advised to wear high visibility clothing.
From Lisnaskea follow signs along the A34 towards Newtownbutler, turn right shortly after a petrol station and continue along a series of quiet rural roads until joining the busy B129 towards Derrylin. Please take extra care on this stretch of road as it is extremely busy with lorries due to the heavy industry in the area. Approximately 20 minutes after the second narrow bridge across Lough Erne turn right onto a series of narrow roads which bring you to the village of Derrylin. From Derrylin follow rural roads to Kinawley and onwards to Florencecourt Forest Park.

This is a Link section therefore walkers are actively encouraged to make use of the public transport links between Lisnaskea and Florencecourt via the main county town of Enniskillen.
The section is on mainly quiet rural road with shorter sections along busier roads. The section between Lisnaskea and Derrylin is particularly busy with lorries due to the heavy industry in the area.
The route is not signposted on the ground.
There unfortunately is no direct bus route between Lisnaskea and Florencecourt so walkers are have to travel via the county town of Enniskillen.
To travel onwards from Lisnaskea to Florencecourt take Ulsterbus Service 95 from Lisnaskea Diamond to Enniskillen Bus Centre.
There is unfortunately no service from Enniskillen to Florencecourt. However there are two options which will bring you in the right direction.
Option 1
Ulsterbus Service 192 to Swanlinbar departs Enniskillen (Monday – Saturday) twice a day at 0730 and 1805 (1745 Sat). There are two further services on a Thursday 0930 & 1310. Ask to stop at the Drumlaghy junction to Florencecourt (GR H192355). It is a 1 mile walk to Florencecourt Forest Park from here.
Option 2
Take Ulsterbus Service 55 from Enniskillen to Kinawley (GR H229308). It is a 5.5 mile walk to Florencecourt along the Link section.
