Rambler Bus Service

Translink’s Rural Transport Unit, with support from the Department for Regional Development, operates Rambler services that offer hikers and visitors access to many visitor attractions, natural heritage and archaeological sites in Northern Ireland.

Prices provided are for unlimited day travel tickets. Where services are seasonal other off-season services may be available. Translink also have a number of special travel ticket options.

- Family and Friends tickets are also available during school holidays (July and August) and weekends allowing up to 2 adults and 4 children to travel unlimited on all Translink bus and rail services throughout Northern Ireland on day of purchase for £20.  

- Seniors with a valid SmartPass travel completely free

Community Transport

Community Transport Northern Ireland provides accessible door-to-door and group travel services to community groups, older people and people with disabilities on a non-profit making basis throughout Northern Ireland. 

Transport in the Mournes 

Activities in the Mournes Shuttle Services (AIMSS) provide a shuttle service to walkers in the Mourne Area, particularly useful for those keen to try one of the many linear routes in the area. Pick up and drop off points include Donard Park, Newcastle, Trassey Track Car Park and Carricklittle Track Car Park. They also provide a bespoke shuttle and support service to walking groups.
