If you’ve been along the Lagan Towpath recently, you will have spotted a striking new addition at Stranmillis Embankment.
The new 83 metre long pedestrian and cycle bridge is one of the key elements of Belfast City Councils £5.2 million Lagan Gateway project and will improve connections and access to this popular walking and cycling spot.
It’s already attracted a lot of interest and lots of people have been in touch with potential names for the bridge, which will open for use this summer. In response to this the council would like to hear more of your suggestions: Submit your ideas at http://ow.ly/3Ugq50EKJi3 by 30 May.
A public vote will then take place on a shortlist of names, with the final favourite selected at the end of June.
Time to get voting!
