Highway to Health, Donaghadee 2
The walks take place in Donaghadee, a town which has been described as one of the best kept secrets of the Ulster coastline, only 21 miles from Scotland and once the premier ferry port between Ireland and Scotland.
This urban walk is part of the Highway to Health Scheme – a simple and innovative scheme which aims to encourage people of all ages to walk for leisure and good health. It uses pole signs at one kilometre intervals on an established route.

Route Type Highway to Health
Route 2 is marked in pink starts at the junction of Bridge Street and Shore Street. Out Shore Street turn left into New Road, left at the Maxol Filling Station into Moat Street, left down Bridge Street to finish. The distance is 1.70 kms (1.06 miles) with a target time of 16-17 minutes with a good view of the Moat perched high above the town.

The routes can be accessed at any point and walked in either direction.
