This is a signed walk starting at Larne Leisure Centre, along the Promenade, to the Coast Road to Carnfunnock Country Park. Dogs to be kept on a lead.

This urban walk is part of the Highway to Health Scheme – a simple and innovative scheme which aims to encourage people of all ages to walk for leisure and good health. It uses pole signs at one kilometre intervals on an established route.

    Route Description

    Walk 2 is 5.42 km. It also proceeds along the Promenade then follows the Coast Road north via the Black Arch and Drains Bay where it leaves the road and follows the path into Carnfunnock Country Park. Both walks can be walked in either direction and joined at any point.

    Toilets at Agnew Street and Narrow Gauge Road, Larne and Carnfunnock Country Park. Refreshments available in the Prom Cafe within the Leisure Centre, cafes in Larne town and at Carnfunnock Country Park from mid March to September and weekends in October.
