Moydamlaght Forest – Eagles Rock Trail
A friend living local suggested this trail to us when we were staying at Mountainview Lodge. We luckily chose an amazing day to hike up to Eagle’s Rock. The views from the top were amazing. The path is well marked. Took us approx 1 hour 20 minutes to get to the top and back to the car (plus time to stop and enjoy the view).
A terrific find. You can make it to the scar that is Eagle’s Rock, without the eagles, in around the hour mark. Well marked with views opening up the higher you go. I was up with a dusting of light snow on top which made it look even better. Enough to get the heart going but one you can easily do on a free morning.
