    Route Description
    This is a Link section therefore walkers are actively encouraged to make use of the public transport links between Rostrevor and Newry. This section of the route mainly follows a busy main road which is not signposted on the ground. For those walkers determined to complete of full circuit of Northern Ireland then accurate maps of this Link section are available to download. When walking on road sections please observe the Highway Code and it is advised to wear high visibility clothing. Exit Kilbroney Park, turn right and follow the A2 road towards Rostrevor. Follow the A2 along the shore of Carlingford Lough deviating through Warrenpoint before rejoining to follow the Newry River. Upon reaching Fathom Lower at the edge of Newry turn left to follow a path along the shore. On entering the town cross the Newry Canal at Dublin Bridge. Quality Section –Ring of Gullion Way starts here.
